True Life Stories

Meet Kirsty and her Dad

"It was always hoped that one day Dad would be able to walk me down the isle but as the Parkinsons progressed it was always at the back of his mind whether that would be possible. Nick Hoyle, Community Manager for Zurich Trust, recommended Conductive Education and following initial assessment with them, hope,at last, was available to begin to change the thinking pattern and cope with alternative ways of doing things.

The wedding was booked for 12 May 2007 and Dad began classes October 2006. After an initial free 15 sessions we booked a further 10 sessions which brought us to the wedding week. All the hard work came to fruition when he successfully walked me down the isle without falter. There was not a dry eye in the church!!"
