Choir Concert

at St Paul’s Church, St Paul's, Birmingham

The Foundation for Conductive Education is proud to have been selected as Charity of the Year by the South Birmingham based Phoenix Singers - a mixed voice choir performing a variety of choral works.

The Canoldir choir, together with the Phoenix singers, performed a variety of songs, all to raise money to help children and adults with disabilities.

The Phoenix Singers - The Phoenix Singers are a mixed voice choir performing a variety of choral works based in Birmingham. Formed in 2000, the choir is currently 74 strong and as well as performing regularly in and around Birmingham, has established an international reputation through a series of european tours.The current Musical Director is Matthew Beckingham a graduate of the Birmingham Conservatoire.

 

To date the Phoenix Singers have performed in two concerts to benefit children and adults with physical disabilities at The Foundation for Conductive Education, the second Christmas Cracker Concert of carols and innovative songs raising over £450.

 

The Phoenix Singers’ Summer Charity Concert will take place on Saturday 19 July 2008 at St Paul’s Church, St Paul’s Square, Hockley Birmingham.

 

 

The Canoldir choir

The Canoldir choir - Canoldir Male Choir is based in Birmingham. It was founded in 1966. Many of the singers are Welsh, and the choir has a strong allegiance with Wales, and with the tradition of Welsh male voice choirs.
