Volunteering Stories
Gayle Westcott – long standing supporter of the Foundation
Gayle has been volunteering with the Foundation for Conductive Education for over 15 years since her daughter Eleanor began attending our nursery services here at Red Boots and is mainly involved in supporting our community fundraising including organising and selling donated goods and supermarket collections!
Gayle heard about the charity when her daughter was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and her friend suggested having a look at the Foundation’s services. Being very inspired by the work conducted here and the huge changes she saw in Eleanor, Gayle decided she wanted to take a more active part in the charity’s work and became a volunteer.
“Choosing Conductive Education was the single best thing we ever did for Eleanor. It has totally changed Eleanor’s life and our life as a family. The Foundation is an amazing place and I am really happy to be able to give something back through volunteering although we can never fully repay the conductors for what they have done for us.”
