Partnership Profile: DAC Beachcroft LLP

DAC Beachcroft is a leading international legal business employing over 2200 people worldwide and a top 5 UK law firm as featured in the 2015 Legal 500 list.

With a partnership stretching over a decade, the DAC Beachcroft Birmingham office have directly raised over £14,000.00 to support NICE since 2012 alone, though a number of different fundraising initiatives. In 2015, the firm supported NICE in the following ways:

Event Sponsorship
In 2015, DAC Beachcroft kindly sponsored our Summer Fete and 10K Road Race. The sponsorship funds allowed NICE to have outdoor banners printed to promote the events to the local community and provide food and refreshments for the hundreds of people attending on both days. The combined total raised from both these events was £11213.74 and the feedback received from both the Summer Fete and the 10K Road Race was extremely positive. The sponsorship from DAC Beachcroft made a huge difference to the professionalism, promotion and success of both our Summer Fete and 10K Road Race – the photographs speak for themselves!

On Sunday 18th October, some very brave and wonderful people from the DAC Beachcroft Birmingham office took on the challenge of running the famous Great Birmingham Run, helping to raise over £500.00 for NICE in the process.

A special shout out goes to Claims Solutions team Associate Solicitor Helen Bates, who in addition to running the Birmingham half marathon, also completed the Bristol to Bath marathon within a fortnight of each other, raising £316.00 for NICE.

Christmas Drinks Reception
To round off a great year of working together, DAC Beachcroft kindly hosted NICE’s very first Christmas drinks reception for fellow friends and supporters of the charity in the city of Birmingham. Partner Bruce Ralston played host for the evening, where guests enjoyed music, canapes and listened to heartfelt talks from NICE CEO Dr Melanie Brown and Sonya Butterfield, mum to 5 year old Laila, who attends NICE’s pre-school group. Awareness events such as this are vital to a small charity in a big city such as NICE, through hosting the Christmas drinks reception DAC Beachcroft provided a valuable platform to ensure the work of our charity remains visible in Birmingham’s business community.

To support our Christmas “Niceicle” appeal in December, the DAC Beachcroft Birmingham office also raffled a lovely Christmas hamper of festive food and drink which raised £145.50.
