Red Boots Ball raises a tremendous £52,000 to support 50 children

The event held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground on Saturday 20 September 2014 and compered by local radio presenter Ed James, raised a tremendous £52,000 to fund a full time staff member so that 50 children from 0-5 years with movement disorders will receive free help and support from the charity next year and achieve milestones that their families never thought possible.

The entertainment involved an edge of your seat auction hosted by local auctioneer Graeme Birch which raised over £26,000 with guests bidding on items such as a signed Robert Plant guitar, digital advertising package donated by Elonex and dinner for 12 at the House of Lords.

Louise Watkins, Fundraiser at Red Boots states “The amount we raised on the night surpassed any of our expectations and we are just delighted to have secured enough money to fund a full time staff member so that 50 children can be given the best start in life through our free Pre-School Services. We were overwhelmed by the sheer generosity of our supporters so a sincere thank you to all involved.”

Due to the success of the night, the event will take place again next year. For more information about next year’s Red Boots Ball or our free Pre-School Services, please contact Louise Watkins, Fundraiser for Red Boots on 0121 442 5559 or
